Licensing SCP

There are two ways to licence SCP, with either fixed or floating licences.

Fixed Licences

With a fixed licence, you have a key that is used on each copy of SCP that you have bought a seat for - unlike previous versions, the same key can be used a number of times rather than generating a new key for each computer. If you need to move the software to a new computer, you can deactivate first (or contact IST to deactivate at our end) in order to free up the key to use again.

Floating licences

If you have lots of users that all need to use SCP occasionally, floating licences might be the best option. You install SCP on as many computers as you like, and each one connects to a licence server. This limits the number of concurrent users to the number of seats you have bought.
